Railway & Civil Engineering Construction Services

Our main areas of expertise include but are not limited to:

Platforms

Platform Extensions & Reconstructions

Station Platform Extensions & Reconstructions

These projects are undertaken during demanding possession constraints and require a high degree of organisation. Works carried out include demolition of existing structures, construction of supporting walls, new platform decks, surfacing works and laying of tactile paving and coping stones.

Level Crossings

Level Crossings

BPH Rail provides a one-stop solution for all civil engineering works involved with level crossings including all associated bases, polymer crossing panels, anti-trespass guards, under road crossings and turning chambers.

Piling

Metal & Concrete

Piling

Piling is a foundational construction technique used to support structures by transferring loads to deeper, more stable soil / ground conditions. The process involves driving or drilling piles made of materials like steel, concrete, or even wood—into the ground to provide a strong foundation for buildings, bridges, and other structures such as ground stabilisation supports especially in areas with weak or unstable surface soils.

Concrete Structures & Bases

(SSP) Signal & Overhead Line Bases

Concrete Structures & Bases (SSP)

BPH Rail has comprehensive experience of constructing both in situ and precast bases, dependant on design and possession constraints. Many in situ bases have been hand dug during short possessions as well as with the aid of RRV (Road Rail Plant).

Groundworks

Under Track Crossings (UTX), Troughing, Route Works & Drainage

Under Track Crossings (UTX), Troughing, Route Works & Drainage

UTX are constructed either by machine or hand dug where appropriate. These works include all excavation, ducting, reinstatement and associated chambers in either concrete or plastic.

Troughing and Route Works  have been undertaken on small and large schemes, on a supply and fix or labour only basis. The scope of works has included vegetation clearance, loading out and laying trough as well as re-lidding.
